$25,000 for Eco Planning

utours-bin01I was recently contacted by UTours for a quick shoot they needed done at the University of Manitoba. TD Canada Trust sponsors the Go Green Challenge; a challenge to University students to come up with ideas to make a positive impact on the environment, which has a $100,000 grand prize. This year students from 4 Universities won, including a 3 student team at the University of Manitoba, which split the prize into $25,000 per winning team.

Today was the cheque presentation to the 3 students, which I took some footage of. We also did interviews with the 3 winning students with the rep from UTours conducting the interview via cell phone speaker, which worked out pretty well.

utours-bin03All of this footage will be used to create a promotional video that will appear on UTours.ca in the coming weeks, which of course I’ll blog about once it’s up :)

Even though it may seem like a simple shoot, because of the tight timeline and the location I knew I could use the hand of an experienced videographer to assist in making this shoot go smooth. I called on Shaun Romeich from Gearhead Visual once again to assist ona  shoot, and he did a great job helping the shoot go without any incidents.
